DIY Orange Cinnamon Lip Scrub

I’m not going to lie, this Orange-Cinnamon Lip Scrub smells go good I swear I want to lick it off my lips every time I use it. Sugar scrubs are great for getting rid of dead skin cells, smoothing out the skin and hydrating it. This is a bright, citrusy scrub you can use to keep your lips moist and luscious in the cold winter months.

There are also many claims that cinnamon is a natural lip plumper. Although there is no science to back it up, it seems to work for quite a lot of people. Just because there isn’t a study, doesn’t mean it can’t be true :)

The theory is that cinnamon softly irritates the skin and causes the lips to swell up. Try this lip scrub and see for yourself! I personally think it works ;) Besides, the aroma of the cinnamon-citrus combination is to die for, so either way it’s a win-win! Here is the recipe:

Y O U   W I L L   N E E D :

1 Small Air Tight Container📷

2 Tsp Sugar 1 Tsp Honey 1 Tsp Carrier Oil (I suggest Sweet Almond Oil📷 or Grapeseed Oil📷) 2-3 Drops Bergamot Essential Oil📷

Dash of Cinnamon📷 (Don’t be too generous, as too much can cause a burning or tingling sensation on the lips)

D I R E C T I O N S :

Combine All Ingredients In a Bowl and Mix. Store in an air tight container.

To use: Rub a small amount gently onto lips in a circular motion and let sit for 2-3 minutes. It's okay if it runs off your lips and gets a little messy. Have some fun with it! Wash off after a few minutes

Cinnamon generally won’t have negative side effects as long as too much isn’t applied or there is not a sensitivity involved. If irritation occurs, wash off immediately and discontinue use.
